If all you have is a CD burner, then your hardware is incapable of burning DVD’s .
You can’t burn DVD’s with a CD drive, just like you can’t shoot an RPG out a pistol.
It just doesn’t work. DVD is fundamentally different from CD as CD is different from a floppy disk.
Just like trying to read chinese if you only speak english. Impossible.
Drive is not capable of read/write to DVD.
There’s a reason DVD drives are made in addition to CD drives. They’re not inter-compatible. Those combo drives that read/write both use either two drive heads (one for CD and one for DVD) or one drive head with a special laser that can read both.
